Stretch lycra with a characteristic sheen.

Our stretch lycra sheen is high quality stretch fabric that is suitable for a wide range of clothing items including leggings, dresses, beachwear and swimwear.

The fabric offers excellent shape retention and perfect fit. It has a characteristic sheen that gives the fabric muted glossy appearance. The fabric ultra-chlorine resistant and offers excellent UV protection making it particularly suitable for swimwear.

The base colour of our stretch lycra sheen is white and designs are printed using dye sublimation. This is perfect printing method for clothing as printed designs are wash fast and long lasting.

Care: Wash on a regular machine cycle at 40 °C / 105F. Do not tumble dry. Iron on a low heat not using steam, ironing print side down for best results. Do not iron on top of other polyester fabrics, as the print may transfer. Do not bleach. Dry clean using any solvent except trichloroethylene.

Garments

The main requirements when making garments from our fabric are related to labelling

The following are relevant standards for garments:

You must make sure you construct your garments safely, but otherwise, the only strict requirements are about labelling, which only apply if you're looking to market your creations for sale.

Swimwear

All standards that apply to clothing apply to swimwear, but in particular you may wish to refer to the following standards:
