Heavyweight stretch lycra offering excellent comfort and support.

Our heavy stretch lycra is a 2-way stretch fabric that provides excellent comfort and support. It is perfect for wide range of fashion, sportswear, activewear, dancewear and swimwear items.

The fabric has a smooth, matt face which provides an excellent print surface. The rear has a smooth, soft hand which is incredibly comfortable against the skin. With a relatively lower elastance content, the this stretch lycra provide excellent support and shape retention. Ideal for achieving the perfect fit.

The base colour of our heavy stretch lycra is white and designs are printed using dye sublimation. This process provide excellent colour reproduction and wash fastness. In addition, the fabric offers excellent UV protection making is suitable for beachwear and swimwear.

Care
Wash on a regular machine cycle at 40 °C / 105F. Do not tumble dry. Iron on a low heat using steam, ironing print side down for best results. Do not iron on top of other polyester fabrics, as the print may transfer. Do not bleach. Dry clean using any solvent except trichloroethylene. Shrinkage 4%. Care Instructions

You must make sure you construct your garments safely, but otherwise, the only strict requirements are about labelling, which only apply if you're looking to market your creations for sale.

All standards that apply to clothing apply to swimwear, but in particular you may wish to refer to the following standards:
