Quality control is important but the process of printing fabric means working within acceptable levels of tolerance and variation. This policy outlines acceptable levels of tolerance and variation in fabric supplied by Prinfab.
Dimensions
Fabrics are printed with a tolerance of +/- 0.1mm but environmental factors can shrink or expand fabric after printing. Fabric is considered acceptable if the printed area is accurate within +/- 2%
Faults
Fabrics are inherently susceptible to faults such as loose fibres and surface variation. Fabric is considered acceptable if the printed area contains:
- No more than 5 faults measuring less than 1mm per linear metre
- No more than 1 fault measuring up to 3mm per linear metre
- No faults measuring over 3mm
Unprinted Areas
Faults outside the printed area are considered acceptable.
Reverse
Faults on the reverse of the printed side of the fabric are considered acceptable unless visible from front.
Meta Data
Every order is printed with meta data so we can identify the fabric and process your order. This is printed outside the printed area and considered acceptable.
