FAQ

• Will fine linework and small details hold up? Yes - DTF is excellent for fine detail and crisp linework. For best results, export your artwork at high resolution and avoid ultra-thin strokes at final print size (as a rough guide, keep lines above ~0.3-0.5mm).
  
  If you're unsure, order a small A4 test sheet first so you can dial in your preferred look before running a larger drop.
• Can I print white ink on black garments? Absolutely. DTF is designed for dark garments and includes a white underbase so colours stay vibrant on black. This makes it ideal for tattoo-style artwork, flash sheets, and high-contrast designs.
• Does DTF feel plasticky like vinyl? Generally, no. DTF is typically softer than vinyl and doesn't require weeding.
  
  The feel depends on how much ink coverage you have - small logos and linework feel very soft, while very large solid blocks will feel thicker.
• Can I press onto hoodies, bags, caps and mixed fabrics? Yes. DTF works on cotton, polyester, many blends, and a wide range of merch blanks like hoodies, tote bags, aprons and more.
  
  For tricky areas (seams, zips, pockets, caps), use a pressing pillow/pad so the print area is as flat and evenly pressured as possible.
• What if I mess up the press? It happens - especially on the first attempt. We recommend doing a quick test press on a cheap blank, then pressing your actual garment once you're happy with the settings.
  
  If you're struggling (edges lifting, dull finish, poor adhesion), get in touch and tell us your garment type and press model - we'll suggest settings to fix it.
• What file type should I upload? PNG with transparency is ideal. High resolution is best. CMYK isn't required - RGB is perfect.

• Do you check my artwork before printing? We print exactly what you submit as shown in the preview, so it's important to check sizing, placement and backgrounds before ordering.
  
  If you have any specific concerns (tiny details, cut-out edges, unusual blanks), message us before ordering and we'll happily advise.
• How do I wash garments after pressing? For best durability, wait 24 hours before the first wash, then wash inside out at low temperatures and avoid harsh tumble drying. This helps keep the print looking sharp for longer.
  
  A short post-press (with parchment/teflon) can also improve durability on some blanks.
• Do I need an expensive heat press? No. DTF can be applied using entry-level presses, and even a home iron for small/simple applications (a press is recommended for the most consistent results).
